Job Purpose
The DevOps Senior Architect serves as the strategic and technical leader responsible for designing, optimizing, and integrating enterprise systems that support operational, productivity, and financial reporting. This role requires strong communication with management, the ability to influence direction, and deep architectural expertise. The architect ensures that business processes spanning material management, accounting, and work management are seamlessly supported by high-performing, reliable systems.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design
- Architect and implement enterprise solutions that support material requisitioning and material variance reporting, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and usage reconciliation.
- Design and optimize productivity reporting frameworks within Work Management Systems to support real-time operational insights.
- Develop and maintain fiscal calendar management systems to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.
- Lead the development of Unit of Property Identification capabilities for asset tracking and capitalization compliance.
Financial & Operational Reporting Automation
- Build and enhance activity-based accounting models, including cost driver identification and allocation methodologies.
- Create and integrate systems for calculating and reporting Units of Work, aligning operational metrics with financial outcomes.
- Enable crew-level labor reporting systems to track productivity, labor distribution, and cost performance at team and job levels.
Strategic Leadership & Collaboration
- Engage with management to provide architectural guidance, DevOps strategy alignment, and long-term system improvement recommendations.
- Work cross-functionally with operational, financial, and IT teams to map processes, validate integration requirements, and enhance workflow performance.
- Support enterprise modernization efforts through continuous improvement, optimization, and best-practice DevOps implementation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced expertise in SQL and stored procedure development.
- Strong proficiency in data mapping and functional workflow migration.
- Extensive hands-on experience with utility Work Management workflows.
- Proven ability to lead discussions with leadership, provide strategy recommendations, and guide system architecture decisions.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with multi-application integrations across enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of PowerPlan for plant accounting.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint, Visio, and related documentation tools.
