Position Summary: The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the delivery, stability, and scalability of our cloud-native SaaS platform. This mid-level position focuses on implementing automation across CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure using IaC tools, and ensuring environment consistency within a fully AWS-hosted ecosystem. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to maintain observability, troubleshoot deployment issues, and integrate security best practices. Through hands-on execution and collaboration, the DevOps Engineer helps drive efficiency, reliability, and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Build and enhance automation for Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CDE), and Continuous Deployment (CD) workflows.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Contribute to provisioning efforts to ensure consistent and reliable environments across development, testing, and production.
  • Manage source control strategies and branching models to ensure clean and consistent versioning across codebases.
  • Integrate automated unit, performance, and security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain observability tooling—including dashboards, metrics, logging, and alerting—with solutions such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Leverage AWS-native tools such as CloudWatch and X-Ray for real-time performance insights and debugging.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud infrastructure, build pipelines, and deployment environments.
  • Continuously evaluate pipeline performance and recommend improvements for speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Assist in managing build artifacts using platforms such as Artifactory, NuGet, or GitHub Packages to support version-controlled deployments.
  • Support system configuration and provisioning through tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Foster partnerships with internal teams (Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure) enabling alignment with organizational objectives.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years in DevOps, site reliability, or infrastructure-focused roles supporting cloud-native software development.
  • Strong working knowledge of CI/CD principles with hands-on use of GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild for automation, testing, and deployment.
  • Proven ability to support build and release workflows for .NET/C# and Angular applications, along with familiarity with Python, Node.js, and React.
  • Skilled in managing AWS services across compute, storage, networking, IAM, and provisioning tasks.
  • Well-versed in toolchains such as Ansible, Artifactory, AWS CLI, AWS Systems Manager, Docker, GitHub, GitHub Packages, and Jira.
  • Applied Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments such as Redhat or Ubuntu.
  • Proficient in scripting with Python, PowerShell, YAML, or Bash to automate operational tasks.
  • Capable of leveraging observability platforms like Datadog and AWS CloudWatch for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Team-oriented and resourceful, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
