This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Databricks Solutions Architect in the United States.
This role provides a high-impact opportunity to design, implement, and optimize scalable data and analytics solutions using Databricks across cloud and on-premises environments. The Databricks Solutions Architect will collaborate with business and technical teams to translate data strategies into actionable technical designs, ensuring cost-effective, secure, and high-performance data workflows. The position involves mentoring engineers, defining best practices, and implementing infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and governance frameworks. You will work with structured and unstructured data, modern data lakehouse architectures, and advanced analytics tools to deliver actionable insights. This role requires staying current with platform updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices while maintaining compliance with data security and access control standards. Remote work is available, with collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.
Accountabilities:
· Design and implement scalable data ingestion, transformation, and curation pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
· Lead architecture and optimization of Databricks clusters, workflows, and jobs for performance and cost-efficiency.
· Develop and maintain data architecture blueprints, technical standards, and governance frameworks.
· Define and enforce data security, access control, and compliance standards within Databricks environments.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams on best practices and performance tuning.
· Drive automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code deployment using tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
· Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational goals.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
· US Citizenship is required due to federal client clearance requirements.
· 8+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics, with at least 3 years of Databricks experience.
· Expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory, Machine Learning, AI Services, Cosmos DB, and other Azure technologies.
· Strong understanding of data lakehouse architecture, ETL/ELT frameworks, and distributed data processing.
· Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
· Preferred: Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Architect, experience in data modeling and data warehouse design.
