Conduct interviews and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to capture end-to-end data flows.
Document the business context of data elements, including definitions, owners, usage, authorized source, data formats and criticality.
Manually map data lineage from a business perspective across systems, reports, and processes including aggregations, transformations, filtering logic etc.
Collaborate with technical teams to translate business flows into aligned technical lineage where applicable.
Work with the Business Lineage SME to ensure completeness and accuracy of documented lineage.
Identify gaps and inconsistencies in business metadata or lineage coverage and recommend remediation steps.
Contribute to lineage validation cycles and support integration into client-specific tool (ADMF)
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or data governance.
In-depth knowledge of data lineage best practices, including the ability to map data flows across systems and trace critical data elements through client ecosystem (including transformation logic and controls documentation).
Strong understanding of data management principles, metadata, and regulatory reporting processes.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Experience with business process mapping, data cataloging, or lineage documentation.
Familiarity with lineage tooling (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) is a plus. Experience utilizing Data Visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, PowerBi, Tableau, or similar platforms is advantageous.
