Data Integration Engineer III

As a Data Integration Engineer III, you will be an integral member of an Agile sprint team, partnering closely with Business Systems Analysts, Data Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality data integration solutions. You’ll participate in all Agile ceremonies—including grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, deployment reviews, demos, and retros—and contribute to technical discussions that shape the evolution of our data ecosystem.<h2 data-start="760" data-end="781">What You’ll Do</h2><h3 data-start="783" data-end="826">Drive high-impact data integrations</h3><ul><li data-start="829" data-end="998">Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to define requirements for the ingestion, transformation, and extraction of data in support of Accolade’s services.</li><li data-start="1001" data-end="1185">Lead data integration work for new customer implementations—building pipelines and connecting external partner data into Accolade’s systems to support operational and business needs.</li><li data-start="1188" data-end="1320">Break down work into epics, stories, and tasks, partnering with your team to groom, estimate, plan, and deliver on two-week sprints.</li></ul><h3 data-start="1322" data-end="1363">Build and maintain data pipelines</h3><ul><li data-start="1366" data-end="1463">Design, build, test, and deploy reliable data pipelines that deliver high-quality, timely data.</li><li data-start="1466" data-end="1560">Ensure integrations are scalable, well-documented, and aligned with Accolade’s data standards.</li></ul><h3 data-start="1562" data-end="1605">Investigate and resolve data issues</h3><ul><li data-start="1608" data-end="1734">Analyze and troubleshoot data quality issues raised by partners; perform root cause analysis and drive issues to resolution.</li><li data-start="1737" data-end="1950">Partner with internal teams to diagnose platform or processing issues that impact data ingestion or extraction, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data consistency and reliability.</li><li data-start="1953" data-end="2086">Support Issue Management workflows, respond to data-related questions, and proactively identify opportunities to improve data health.</li></ul><h3 data-start="2088" data-end="2133">Develop deep subject-matter expertise</h3><ul><li data-start="2136" data-end="2294">Analyze data files, layouts, and data dictionaries from healthcare administrative data sources (eligibility, plan/account, medical claims, pharmacy claims).</li><li data-start="2297" data-end="2417">Define business and technical requirements, create interface definitions, and produce clear source-to-target mappings.</li><li data-start="2420" data-end="2514">Become a subject-matter expert in Accolade’s platform, data model, and integration patterns.</li><li data-start="2517" data-end="2646">Help maintain consistency across data models and ensure adherence to standards across multiple customer and platform initiatives.</li></ul><h3 data-start="2648" data-end="2688">Continue learning and innovating</h3><ul><li data-start="2691" data-end="2806">Participate in learning opportunities, cross-functional training, and innovation projects outside of sprint work.</li><li data-start="2809" data-end="2892">Bring forward ideas for improving architecture, tooling, automation, and processes.</li></ul><h2 data-start="2899" data-end="2928">What We’re Looking For</h2><ul><li data-start="2932" data-end="3055">Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.</li><li data-start="3058" data-end="3214">4+ years of hands-on experience in data-centric testing and database environments—healthcare claims or enrollment data experience is highly preferred.</li><li data-start="3217" data-end="3275">Exposure to Talend or other ETL/ELT tools is a plus.</li><li data-start="3278" data-end="3469">Strong understanding and experience with SQL, data validation, multidimensional data models, and concepts such as slowly changing dimensions (SCD) and change data capture (CDC).</li><li data-start="3472" data-end="3656">Experience working on an Agile team within a CI/CD development environment, with the ability to collaborate effectively and deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced settings.</li><li data-start="3659" data-end="3822">Ability to analyze complex data and process flows, translate business needs into functional specifications, and align data processes with broader business goals.</li><li data-start="3825" data-end="3921">Strong foundation in data warehousing principles, architecture, and implementation at scale.</li></ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">As a remote position, the salary range for this role is:</div><div class="pay-range">$80,000—$95,000 USD</div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion">Who we are  Transcarent and Accolade have come together to create the One Place for Health and Care, the leading personalized health and care experience that delivers unmatched choice, quality, and outcomes.
