Omniscient Digital is growing fast, and with that growth comes an increasing need for expert-level insight in complex, highly technical data environments. We're seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to consult on content related to advanced data governance topics. These may include enterprise data governance, metadata management, policy enforcement, data lineage, AI model governance, and cross-functional compliance challenges.Â
Your expertise will help ensure our content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with technical audiences' challenges and expectations, such as Chief Data Officers, Heads of Governance, and VPs of Data and AI Strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with our editorial team to review and inform content on these topics.
Review content for technical accuracy and depth across topics such as data governance, metadata management, data lineage, AI governance, and compliance.
Provide practical insights and feedback to ensure content speaks to experienced data leaders and aligns with enterprise-level use cases.
Ensure content aligns with current and evolving data governance standards and frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, FAIR principles, ISO 8000).
Guide our team in understanding enterprise data management challenges such as:
Implementing federated or hybrid governance models
Achieving data quality and consistency across business units
Operationalizing AI model oversight and compliance
Balancing governance controls with business agility
Offer insight into common enterprise decision-maker concerns and content gaps from the perspective of a practitioner.
5+ years of experience in a data-related role, such as chief data officer, VP of data, senior data governance lead, data architect, data strategy consultant, or AI governance advisor
Deep familiarity with enterprise data ecosystems, governance frameworks, and regulatory concerns
Understanding of metadata standards, policy enforcement, model documentation, and cross-functional compliance coordination
Experience with tools such as data catalogs, observability platforms, model registries, and governance dashboards
Ability to translate complex, technical topics into actionable, strategic insights for practitioners and executive stakeholders
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
Experience in consulting or content advisory roles is a plus
