You'll develop scalable rack architectures, integrate power and cooling systems, and support customer deployments from planning through execution. This remote role (U.S.-based) requires strong technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional and client-facing teams.</p><p><strong>Location. </strong>This role is remote in the continental United States.</p><p><strong>What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)</strong></p><p><em>System Architecture & Design</em></p><ul><li>Architect deployment end-to-end modular data center solutions, including containerized, skid-based, or pre-fabricated modules</li><li>Develop scalable and efficient rack designs optimized for compute, storage, and networking equipment.</li><li>Integrate power distribution, thermal management, cabling, and space utilization into high-performance rack solutions.</li></ul><p><em>Engineering & Deployment </em></p><ul><li>Capable of reading engineering documents including 3D CAD models, rack elevations, BOMs, airflow diagrams, and wiring schematics.</li><li>Capable of creating high level Visio style drawings (prepping for customer readiness).</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, network, and facility engineers.</li><li>Perform physical customer siting and deployment evaluations and build customer deployment plan.</li><li>Process manage to ensure customer is ready for deployment (customer readiness).</li><li>Support deployment teams during site delivery, integration, commissioning, and validation testing.</li></ul><p><em> Vendor & Technology Evaluation </em></p><ul><li>Assess and select vendors for rack hardware, cooling systems, PDUs, cabling, and modular enclosures.</li><li>Evaluate emerging technologies in modular infrastructure, edge computing, liquid cooling, and DC power distribution.</li></ul><p><em>Process & Standards Development</em></p><ul><li>Define design and deployment standards for modular systems and rack-level integrations.</li><li>Drive automation and repeatability across deployments by leveraging DCIM tools, CAD templates, and configuration management platforms.</li></ul><p><em>Client & Stakeholder Engagement</em></p><ul><li>Work with sales, business development, and client teams to tailor solutions based on customer needs and site-specific constraints.</li><li>Present technical concepts and architectural strategies to stakeholders and decision-makers.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering or related field.</li><li>5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, modular deployments, or rack integration design.</li><li>Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), Visio, and 3D modeling.</li><li>Familiarity with power and cooling standards (e.g., ASHRAE TC 9.9, Uptime Institute, TIA-942).</li><li>Strong understanding of IT hardware (servers, switches, storage) and data center cabling best practices.</li><li>Ability to travel occasionally to data center or partner sites.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a highly technical discipline.</li><li>Experience with hyperscale or edge data center design and rapid deployment methods.</li><li>Knowledge of CFD (computational fluid dynamics) for airflow and thermal modeling.</li><li>Understanding of sustainability practices and energy-efficient designs (e.g., PUE optimization).</li><li>Certifications: CDCP, DCDC, RCDD, or equivalent.</li></ul><p><strong>Citizenship Requirements</strong></p><p>For select roles, due to the nature of our clientele and the technologies involved, there may be specific nationality or citizenship indicated in the required qualifications section.
