Job Overview:

We are seeking a diligent Data Analyst to help with some data reconcilation and accountant tasks. You will manage day-to-day financial tasks, assist with financial reporting, and support compliance with accounting principles. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate records, providing valuable insights, and ensuring smooth financial operations as we continue to expand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all entries.
  • SQL: Write and Maintain SQL Queries to reconcile invoicing with our internal data
  • Transaction Processing: Handle daily entries, reconciliations, and post transactions, focusing on attention to detail.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, track collections, and handle outgoing payments, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including profit and loss statements, to assist in strategic planning.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting processes, offering insights to guide financial decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with tax filing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Audit Support: Gather and organize documentation to support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Software Management: Use accounting software to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights that support various projects and initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Some accounting experience, ideally within a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and strong data entry skills.
  • SQL
  • Advanced Excel skills, including familiarity with pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on teamwork.
