About the role
We are seeking a Customer Onboarding Manager to lead a remote team responsible for processing and verifying loan applications. This role requires expertise in credit underwriting, financial industry standards, and team leadership to ensure applications meet compliance and approval guidelines.
As the Customer Onboarding Manager, you will be instrumental in training, coaching, and supporting your team to enhance efficiency and accuracy in application reviews. Your deep knowledge of credit policies and industry standards will empower decision-making and help drive operational success.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee a remote team handling loan applications requiring income and identity verification.
Leverage industry experience and credit underwriting expertise to assess and approve applications.
Provide comprehensive support to both your team and the broader department.
Conduct quality assurance reviews of loan applications and agent performance.
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to help team members improve their skills.
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to analyze data, generate reports, and optimize workflows.
Identify process improvements to streamline operations and enhance customer experience.
Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Participate in call and application reviews to provide feedback and drive performance improvements.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
3+ years of credit underwriting experience with knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
3+ years of proven management experience in leading teams.
Strong analytical skills to assess loan applications and decision-making criteria.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) for data analysis and reporting.
Led a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-call volume office or contact center, ensuring service level targets are consistently met while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills to foster team growth and success.
Experience working cross-functionally with different teams and departments to drive collaboration.
Location
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere that suits you best! While you’ll primarily work from home, you are always welcome to visit our office in Irving, TX, whenever you choose. We encourage our remote team members to stay connected through regular virtual meetings and team events. All team members must reside in one of our approved locations by their start date, ensuring you remain part of our collaborative community.
Compensation
For this role our salary range is $75,000 to $85,000, depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
