What you'll do
- Coordination Services:
- Serve as the liaison between the Court Reporter team and the Medical Case Management team to ensure the accurate scheduling of events (“the docket”) based on Client needs and ISI schedule availability
- Ensure reports are compiled and ready for transmission to the Client within prescribed timelines
- Assist the Director of Court Reporting in managing caseload, scheduled / rescheduled events, and monitoring the “shot clock” of pending reports
- Technical Proficiency:
- Utilize various software platforms and other relevant technology to ensure accurate and efficient scheduling, updates, and assistance in transcription
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and continuously enhance technical skills
- Attention to Detail:
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to detail, ensuring the accurate scheduling and coordination of events
- Identify and rectify any discrepancies on the docket promptly
- Timeliness:
- Uphold strict timelines for the delivery of reports, recognizing the critical nature of legal proceedings
- Efficiently communicate changes in workload to the Director of Court Reporting to facilitate appropriate scheduling and assignment of events
- Confidentiality:
- Safeguard sensitive information and maintain the confidentiality of legal proceedings and client communications
- Adhere to HIPAA and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure confidentiality guidelines
- Professionalism:
- Exhibit unparalleled professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, attorneys, Clients, and other legal professionals
- Adhere to a high standard of ethical conduct and maintain a neutral and unbiased demeanor during proceedings, or any interaction with the above
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and work experience to demonstrate proficiency of the skills described above
- Proven experience working independently
- Proficiency in the use of word processing software
- Willingness to attend training for unique platforms related to court reporting / ISI systems
- Excellent command of the English language and grammar
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Adherence to a strict code of ethics and professional conduct
