Job Description

We are currently looking for a Corporate Security Investigator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading programs and processes related to the identification, assessment and mitigation of threats to Brightspeed sites, property, and employees. You will help ensure cost-effective operations, by identifying and preventing damages to Brightspeed property, including disruptions to its network and operations, and working to recoup reimbursement from third parties, and the physical security of Brightspeed personnel and customers due to workplace violence or third-party threats. In this position, you will be required to have sound, independent judgment calls regarding preservation of physical assets and ensuring employee security, including the design of the threat assessment and investigative processes, management of action plan for responding to and mitigating specific threats conduct of individual investigations, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders and development training.

As a Corporate Security Investigator, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Investigate workplace violence, off-duty misconduct, and theft, vandalism and property damage incidents
  • EnsureThreat Assessment program and processes align with corporate objectives  
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance and Ethics, Human Resource, Real Estate, Physical Security, and other internal business partners to identify and ensure appropriate management plan for responding to incidents
  • Direct and manage the program and processes for the intake, triage, and case assignment of workplace safety, security, violence and HR incidents
  • Develop processes for coordinating with local, State, and Federal law enforcement agencies in support of investigations and emergent critical events
  • Facilitate and develop threat assessment reports to stakeholders and leadership; analyze investigations, metrics and other relevant data to develop recommended mitigation measures
  • Develop the framework to report and analyze security threats to Field Operations personnel and implement the appropriate response actions to ensure security of personnel
  • Develop of Threat Assessment training
  • Supporting the development of Safety, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery plans

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence, Security Management, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5 years of prior law enforcement or investigative experience
  • Formal interview and investigative training, or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Knowledge of industry-standard investigative best practices and technology
  • Travel as required

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Familiarity with telecommunications environments and security systems
  • Working knowledge of the deployment, use, and management of access control and video surveillance systems
  • Certification in threat or risk assessment
