About the role

  • Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, the Licensed Customer Service Representative (Customer Service Representative 2) performs the essential functions of the position, which includes but is not limited to servicing the needs of clients and making changes to existing accounts. Specific service and underwriting responsibilities are required in this position. Meets service and underwriting standards and performs essential functions at or above the quality and service standards of Aspire General Insurance Services, LLC.

What you'll do

  • Answer incoming calls and chats and analyze questions and concerns from insureds and/or producers to resolve issues in a timely manner;
  • Answer technical questions from producers and assist them in the navigation of the system;
  • Processes incoming faxes, emails, and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately;
  • Solicit additional data from insured’s or producers and explain the basis for underwriting determinations and report risk alerts to underwriting;
  • Determines reasons for requests for cancellations; follows the procedure for retention.
  • Complies with state and federal laws, Department of Insurance criteria, insurance carrier, and Aspire General's policies, procedures, and work rules;
  • Review, evaluate, and issue endorsements;
  • Produce grammatically correct and clearly written correspondence including letters, memos, reports, emails, and policy file documentation;
  • Prompt and regular attendance;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A current P&C license in the state of CA is required.  Current P&C license in states of MI, TX, WA, OR, NV and AZ preferred;
  • Ability to manage increased levels of responsibility;
  • Strong knowledge of insurance terminology, concepts and coverage and ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations;
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office; ability to use the Internet and adapt to new software programs and changes in technology;
  • Ability to set priorities and perform multiple tasks;
  • Ability to solve practical problems; deal with concrete variables in situations; and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
  • Ability to negotiate;
  • Ability to adapt to a paperless environment.
