This role offers a strategic leadership opportunity for a finance professional ready to take ownership of end-to-end financial operations within a fast-growing e-commerce environment. You will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making at the executive level. Acting as a critical business partner, you will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and performance analysis while ensuring accuracy and transparency across all financial processes. The position combines hands-on accounting leadership with high-level strategic planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. You will also contribute to system optimization and process improvements in a dynamic, remote-first setup. Accountabilities:

Oversee all financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with standards
Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and executive-level financial insights
Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic planning
Build financial models and conduct profitability analysis across products, customers, and business segments
Improve financial systems, ERP integrations, and reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency
Establish and monitor key financial controls, KPIs, and dashboards to support performance tracking
Manage compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements while mitigating financial risks
Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred, MBA is a plus
7–10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including 3–5 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
Strong background in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based business environments preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and reporting tools
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks Enterprise
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, as well as US tax regulations
Proven experience managing financial close processes and delivering accurate reporting under tight deadlines
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment aligned with US business hours
