<h1><strong>Role Description:&nbsp;</strong></h1><p>As a member of the Contracts Management team at Defense Unicorns, the Contract Specialist, in coordination with the Contracts Manager and General Counsel,&nbsp; interfaces with a motivated team of Unicorns and Mission Heroes in fast-paced environments. The Contracts Management team is responsible for providing cradle-to-grave contract and subcontract support along with contributions to proposal efforts, all in support of various contract types for government and commercial customers.&nbsp; Types of contracts include FAR/DFARS-based Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) and non-traditional vehicles such as SBIR/STTRs, GSA MAS, and Tradewinds. Support of these contracts involves working closely with teams across Defense Unicorns and customer organizations.</p><h1><strong>Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></h1><ul><li>Proposal development</li><li>Contract preparation, negotiation, administration and close-out</li><li>Contract compliance</li><li>Contract pricing</li><li>Pre-award negotiation of contract terms</li><li>Assist in pricing efforts and develop estimates in support of project scoping&nbsp;</li><li>Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, teaming agreements, and similar agreements</li><li>Execute contract modifications, amendments, and extensions in accordance with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and other segments of the organization, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction with contract execution</li><li>Develop agreement language and templates as necessary&nbsp;</li><li>Take initiative and be proactive with self-starting projects or taskings</li><li>Understand obligations of contracts and act as advisor to company regarding contractual terms and conditions</li><li>Utilize analytical skills, negotiation experience, and written communication to effectively perform job duties</li><li>Oversee and manage the administration of contracts from the point of award through contract closure</li><li>Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all contract-related documents and correspondence</li></ul><p><strong>Travel Expectations/Requirements: Expected travel 0% - 10%</strong></p><p><strong>The listed responsibilities are not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the organization. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is able to adapt and take on new responsibilities as they arise.&nbsp;</strong></p><h1><strong>Preferred Experience and Qualifications:</strong></h1><ul><li>3-5 years of experience in contracting (can be industry or government)&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of contract management principles</li><li>Well experienced in both pre-award and post-award activities&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication (verbal and written), and analytical skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Experience with estimating and price analysis</li><li>Proven track record of taking initiative and being proactive</li><li>Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Experience working in a remote work environment</li><li>Knowledge or experience with non-traditional Government contract vehicles, such as SBIR/STTR programs, GSA Multiple Award Schedules (MAS), Tradewinds solicitations, and other innovative or OTA-based contracting paths</li><li>Experience with commercial software licensing models, including subscription-based (e.g., SaaS), enterprise licensing, or dual-use technology offerings tailored for both public and private sector customers</li></ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience.
