About Us: Artera is an AI startup that develops medical artificial intelligence tests to personalize therapy for cancer patients. Artera is on a mission to personalize medical decisions for patients and physicians on a global scale.


The Contracts Associate will assist in the review, drafting, administration, and management of a variety of company contracts. This position supports the legal team to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant contract administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses a strong ability to communicate and collaborate across departments.


As a Contracts Associate, you will be responsible for preparing, tracking and finalizing contracts with external partners. You will have access to an expert internal legal team and the support of the entire Artera team.


Essential Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and edit a wide range of agreements (e.g., MNDAs, research agreements, service agreements, etc.)
  • Administer the contract management process, including organizing and maintaining digital contract files and databases using IronClad
  • Help to communicate with external partners regarding important IP and contractual requirements.
  • Proactively identify contract related risks and potential roadblocks.
  • Communicate clearly with external and internal partners and promote an efficient timeline for contract execution.
  • Support process improvements and the implementation of contract management best practices
  • Escalate contractual problems to General Counsel as appropriate


Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in contracts administration, legal support, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)


$60,000 - $90,000 a year
In addition to base salary, equity is a core component of our compensation. We also offer 401k matching, unlimited paid time off (PTO), and more. The base salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and other factors to be discussed during the interview process.
