About Mancomm
Mancomm is a leading publisher of regulatory and compliance-based content, specializing in simplified, structured summaries of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). We produce high-clarity training materials, regulatory “segues,” and print/digital publications designed to make complex government regulations accessible and actionable.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Content Production Manager to lead our content workflow, oversee offshore editorial teams, and manage publication production from draft through final output.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Content Production Manager to own the preparation and production of structured content across our publishing pipeline. This role sits at the intersection of content, systems, and production, working with XML-driven content and Adobe InDesign to produce consistent, high-quality outputs at scale.
This is a hands-on role focused on execution. You will work within structured systems where content, formatting, and layout are driven by defined rules rather than manual styling. You will be responsible for ensuring that content moves cleanly from structured source to final output, resolving issues along the way.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Own the preparation and production of content from structured source through final print and digital output
- Diagnose and resolve issues across structured content and Adobe InDesign, determining whether root causes originate from content structure or layout/rendering
- Apply fixes directly using internal tools and InDesign, resolving most issues independently without requiring engineering support
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across multiple publications and outputs
- Maintain and enforce structured content standards across all work
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining control over timelines, versions, and deliverables
- Collaborate with engineering to escalate and resolve complex structural issues when necessary, providing clear problem identification and context
- Work within templated and structured environments where consistency and system-driven output are critical
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with structured content systems (XML or similar), including the ability to read and understand structured content
- Comfort working in structured publishing environments where content originates from XML or database-driven systems
- Ability to diagnose whether issues stem from structured content or from layout/rendering in Adobe InDesign
- Strong hands-on experience in Adobe InDesign, including troubleshooting styles, templates, and formatting inconsistencies in production environments
- Comfort making direct updates to structured content using tools or interfaces, without requiring code
- High attention to detail, particularly in structured or templated content environments where small inconsistencies can impact large-scale output
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining organization and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in XML-driven or database-backed publishing workflows
- Experience working with high-volume or production-heavy content environments
- Familiarity with workflows where structured content feeds into templated layouts
Working Style
- Operates independently with minimal oversight, proactively driving work forward
- Communicates status, blockers, and decisions clearly and consistently
- Thrives in environments where systems, structure, and consistency drive execution
- Comfortable solving problems directly within tools and workflows rather than handing them off
