Compliance Specialist
Location: Remote (U.S.-Based)
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually
Position Overview
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s compliance framework by ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role works cross-functionally to monitor compliance activities, document processes, and help mitigate regulatory and operational risk.
This is a full-time, fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support compliance with applicable federal, state, and industry regulations
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and documenting compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and internal assessments
- Track regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation of updates
- Support licensing, certifications, renewals, and required filings
- Investigate potential compliance issues and assist with corrective action plans
- Maintain organized compliance records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to promote compliance awareness and best practices
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Compliance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory support
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to the organization
- Strong documentation, organizational, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently
- Comfortable working in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with compliance tracking systems or GRC tools is a plus
