Position Overview
We’re looking for a highly detail-oriented Compliance Analyst who is excited to take an active role in E&S compliance operations. You’ll assist with regulatory filings, surplus lines documentation, licensing oversight, and compliance reporting - all while developing deep expertise in E&S regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with the Compliance Manager and cross-functional partners to support the delivery of compliant, accurate, and timely business operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support daily compliance activities for E&S insurance operations.
- Prepare, submit, and reconcile surplus lines filings - including work performed through the Surplus Lines Association of California (SLAC) portal, adhering to strict deadlines, validation requirements, and follow-up expectations.
- Maintain surplus lines reporting accuracy through proactive documentation checks and timely corrections.
- Support licensing workflows, including tracking renewals, appointments, and submission requirements.
- Assist with Department of Insurance complaint research, including gathering policy and underwriting documentation, tracing timelines, and occasionally interviewing retail agents to determine facts.
- Monitor regulatory communications and assist in implementing updates across internal functions.
- Maintain compliance records, dashboards, and audit-ready documentation within internal platforms.
- Collaborate on process improvement, workflow automation, and compliance controls.
- Utilize tools such as InsuranceNow, HubSpot, AgentSync, and proprietary Delos systems.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of insurance compliance or operational experience - surplus lines exposure strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of SLAC filing timelines, portal navigation, reporting procedures, or demonstrated eagerness to learn quickly.
- Demonstrated accuracy in regulatory submissions and high attention to detail.
- Strong research and investigative skills with ability to synthesize facts clearly.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and respond quickly when regulatory timing is critical.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when interacting with agents and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment using modern collaboration tools.
