Target Range:

$66,560.00/Yr. - $70,000.00/Yr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

This role provides critical operational and risk management support to the Commercial Banking and Treasury Management Operations teams. This role is responsible for helping to safeguard clients' financial transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of our banking services while mitigating risk. This role is part of a team that manages key functions and makes critical decisions in a high-production, time-sensitive environment. Areas of responsibility include fraud mitigation, operational processing, and payments risk management, in additional to other operational responsibilities as assigned to support Commercial Banking and Treasury Management activities. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of banking operations, compliance and regulations is critical to this role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess payment transactions for potential risks and fraudulent activities
  • Respond to alerts and notifications related to unusual activity or potential fraud
  • Analyze check transactions to identify suspicious or fraudulent activity
  • Process exception reports including NSF and Non-Post, making decisions based on known criteria to pay or return items
  • Review and handle Verification of Deposits, ACH Returns and Research, GL, WSUD Requests, Proof of Authorization, Stop Payments, and Late Return Claims
  • Conduct and process comprehensive investigations for ACH, Check and Wire fraud to include interviews, discovery, analysis, case documentation and management
  • Maintain a working knowledge of fraud prevention guidelines and techniques.
  • Communicate via phone, email and/or letters with other bank employee, account holds and other financial institutions
  • Escalate suspicious activity via submission of Questionable Activity Report
  • Assist with developing and updating departmental procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4+ years of financial services experience in branch or back office
  • 2+ years of fraud investigation experience
