Recently acquired by private equity group MSP Capital, we’re in an exciting rebuilding phase and looking for talented individuals to represent and grow our iconic brand.</p><p><strong>About the X Games League (XGL)</strong></p><p>The X Games League is a new professional sports league launching in 2026 under the X Games umbrella. We are reimagining action sports with a city-based, team-owned format across snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, and BMX. Our goal is to drive year-round engagement by building team fandom and showcasing the world's premier athletes. The 2026 season will feature 4 summer Clubs. The 2027 season will feature the addition of winter, 4 summer Clubs, and 4 winter Clubs.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong>:</p><p>The <strong>Club Operations &amp; Compliance Lead </strong>will oversee the daily operations and compliance management of all XGL Clubs, acting as the central point of contact between the league office and General Managers (GMs) and athletes, and agents, if needed. This individual will ensure all operational and legal requirements are met, policies are upheld, and team-related matters are coordinated efficiently across departments. This role requires a strong working knowledge of league governance, athlete contracts, and team operations.&nbsp; This position will report to the Chief Legal Officer and will provide direct support to the Head of XGL.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Club Operations &amp; Compliance:</strong> Manage and ensure compliance with athlete contracts, league rules, and team operating guidelines. Track all roster moves and transactions, flagging any potential eligibility or compliance issues.</li><li><strong>Legal &amp; Contract Management:</strong> Lead the negotiation and contracting process for XGL clubs. Support the legal review of athlete contracts, team sponsorships, and ownership documents.</li><li><strong>Cross-Departmental Coordination:</strong> Serve as a liaison between clubs and our internal departments, including athlete relations, marketing, sponsorship, and content, to ensure smooth operational alignment.</li><li><strong>Strategic Planning:</strong> Organize and lead league meetings with teams, including competition committee and draft preparation, and communicate policy updates.</li><li><strong>Financial Administration:</strong> Work with the finance and accounting teams to track athlete service fees and associated earnings.</li><li><strong>Dispute Resolution:</strong> Assist with dispute resolution and legal risk management in partnership with in-house and external counsel.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>Experience:</strong></li><ul><li>3+ years of experience in league/team operations or legal affairs at a professional sports league.</li><li>3+ years of experience working within a major professional league, federation, or sports agency, with a focus on team or athlete operations.</li><li>2+ years of experience at a law firm specializing in sports and entertainment.</li></ul><li><strong>Education:</strong></li><ul><li>A <strong>Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active license to practice law are required.</strong></li><li>A background in sports law or labor law is a plus.</li></ul><li><strong>Skills:</strong></li><ul><li>Deep understanding of professional sports structures, athlete contracts, and team governance.</li><li>Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Comfortable balancing operational logistics with legal analysis in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>A passion for action sports and athlete-centric innovation is a plus.</li></ul></ul><p><strong>Perks</strong>:</p><ul><li>Medical benefits, Dental, Vision, ST and LT Disability, Life Insurance, 401K</li><li>Flexible Time Away</li><li>Potential Home Office Reimbursement and Cell Phone/Internet Reimbursement</li><li>Hybrid work environment</li><li>Opportunity to attend X Games events!</li></ul><p><em>X Games is an equal-opportunity employer.
