 Position Description: 

As a Cloud Engineer II, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure for our SaaS platforms in a high-transaction restaurant technology environment. You will apply your expertise in cloud automation, monitoring, and container orchestration to ensure secure, high-performance systems. This role requires strong Infrastructure-as-Code practices, cloud-native tooling, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with development, DevOps, and support teams.

Reports To: Sr. Manager, Cloud Infrastructure 

What We’re Looking For: 

• A scripting rockstar: Strong PowerShell/Node.js/Python scripting and automation capabilities 

• 8+ years of engineering experience, including SaaS delivery in high-volume environments 

• Advanced Windows Administration, including Active Directory and Failover Clusters 

• Deep understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles 

Additional Skills: 

• 5+ years of AWS cloud engineering experience (AWS Solutions Architect certification or obtainable within 6 months) 

• Hands-on experience with Terraform and other IaC tools 

• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes 

• Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, and Uptime.com 

• Proficiency in scripting or development using PowerShell, Python, Bash, C#, PHP, Node.js, etc. 

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning: 

• Designing and deploying scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using IaC (e.g., Terraform) 

• Automating provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks for infrastructure and applications 

• Managing Kubernetes clusters and container-based workloads in cloud environments 

• Monitoring system health, performance, and reliability using observability tools 

• Collaborating with development and DevOps teams to deliver robust and resilient services 

• Supporting software and security patch testing and release processes 

• Participating in 24/7 SaaS operations, including on-call support rotation
