Job Summary
The Clinical Project Manager reports directly to the Chief Services Officer. The Clinical Project Manager leads project teams comprised of JTG consultants and client staff. The Clinical Project Manager oversees and manages client projects, establishing goals and timelines for the project and ensuring that the goals are met.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate project team
- Manage and work collaboratively with team members, and both internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and follow project governance protocols
- Develop and maintain realistic and reasonable project timelines and task durations
- Keep timelines on track by knowing when to escalate threats to the critical path
- Monitor project progress while being able to see the big picture and not neglect the details
- Conduct continual assessments and review feasibility analyses for project success and allocated resources
- Estimate time and financial commitments required to complete project tasks
- Steer client and users through established change control processes
- Be the owner of the project scope, address and mitigate scope creep
- Build project plan documentation/reports and maintain for regular leadership review/updates
- Implement and optimize process improvement where inefficiencies are observed
- Collect, analyze and compose approved metrics set out to demonstrate project success/progress into presentations and reports
- Document lessons learned activities for project closeout and evaluation
- Manage transition support to operations team post go-live
- Work collaboratively with clients to plan, install, implement and maintain hardware and software solutions
- Abides by HIPAA regulations of confidentiality for all activities and information accessed
- Determine project priorities based on needs of our Clients. Ensure completion of projects in a timely manner to comply with established deadlines. Actively work with Chief Services Officer and clients to determine and or adjust project priorities
- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and clients’ staff
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by the CEO, or the Chief Services Officer
Job Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
- Minimum 5 years of Medical Technologist (or equivalent role) experience
- Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Laboratory Information Systems
- IT and Healthcare strategy experience
- Demonstrated technical skills and aptitudes related to all computer related activities
- Demonstrated ability to understand all laboratory related computer applications, and the ability to learn and apply new applications and programs
