Our distributed clinical workforce operates at scale in a highly regulated environment, supported by strong clinical governance, clear standards, and operational discipline.</p><hr data-start="792" data-end="795"><h3 data-start="797" data-end="811">The Role</h3><p data-start="812" data-end="1067">Midi is seeking a <strong data-start="830" data-end="851">Clinical Director</strong> to lead care delivery across a defined pod of clinicians and assigned care delivery pillars. This is a <strong data-start="955" data-end="970">hybrid role</strong> combining <strong data-start="981" data-end="1037">senior clinical leadership and operational ownership</strong> with <strong data-start="1043" data-end="1066">direct patient care</strong>.</p><p data-start="812" data-end="1067">&nbsp;</p><p data-start="1069" data-end="1432">The Clinical Director is primarily accountable for people leadership, clinical performance, and care delivery execution, while also <strong data-start="1201" data-end="1244">maintaining an active clinical schedule</strong> (including patient panel, emergency, and recovery visits). Direct patient care ensures clinical calibration, escalation readiness, and alignment between standards and real-world delivery.</p><p data-start="1434" data-end="1760">This role leads through a <strong data-start="1460" data-end="1481">Senior NP Manager</strong>, owns escalation and governance decisions, and partners closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure safe, consistent, and scalable care delivery. The role reports to the <strong data-start="1656" data-end="1681">Medical Director, IWC</strong>, with a dotted-line relationship to the <strong data-start="1722" data-end="1759">Chief Clinical Operations Officer</strong>.</p><hr data-start="1762" data-end="1765"><h3 data-start="1767" data-end="1793">Key Responsibilities</h3><h4 data-start="1795" data-end="1841">Clinical Leadership &amp; People Management</h4><ul data-start="1842" data-end="2432"><li data-start="1842" data-end="1964"><p data-start="1844" data-end="1964">Set and uphold expectations for clinical quality, professionalism, and performance across a large clinician workforce.</p></li><li data-start="1965" data-end="2081"><p data-start="1967" data-end="2081">Lead accountability for scheduling, coverage, utilization, and clinical readiness through the Senior NP Manager.</p></li><li data-start="2082" data-end="2184"><p data-start="2084" data-end="2184">Own escalation pathways and clinical decision support to ensure safe, timely, and consistent care.</p></li><li data-start="2185" data-end="2321"><p data-start="2187" data-end="2321">Enforce standards for protocol adherence, scope of practice, and documentation; address repeated variance through leadership action.</p></li><li data-start="2322" data-end="2432"><p data-start="2324" data-end="2432">Identify readiness gaps and route onboarding, education, or remediation needs to appropriate program owners.</p></li></ul><h4 data-start="2434" data-end="2486">Direct Patient Care (Hybrid Role Expectation)</h4><ul data-start="2487" data-end="2808"><li data-start="2487" data-end="2585"><p data-start="2489" data-end="2585">Maintain a defined clinical schedule, including patient panel, emergency, and recovery visits.</p></li><li data-start="2586" data-end="2678"><p data-start="2588" data-end="2678">Deliver care in alignment with established guidelines, protocols, and scope of practice.</p></li><li data-start="2679" data-end="2808"><p data-start="2681" data-end="2808">Use direct care experience to inform clinical decision-making, escalation support, quality review, and care model improvements.</p></li></ul><h4 data-start="2810" data-end="2847">Care Delivery Pillar Ownership</h4><ul data-start="2848" data-end="3252"><li data-start="2848" data-end="3022"><p data-start="2850" data-end="3022">Serve as the accountable clinical owner for assigned care delivery pillars (e.g., supply funnel, care encounter, practice liaison, marketing liaison, Midi store liaison).</p></li><li data-start="3023" data-end="3135"><p data-start="3025" data-end="3135">Own pillar OKRs, decisions, and outcomes; delegate execution and drive adoption through leadership channels.</p></li><li data-start="3136" data-end="3252"><p data-start="3138" data-end="3252">Partner with peer Clinical Directors to ensure alignment and consistency as care delivery changes are implemented.</p></li></ul><h4 data-start="3254" data-end="3295">Clinical Governance &amp; Consultation</h4><ul data-start="3296" data-end="3694"><li data-start="3296" data-end="3418"><p data-start="3298" data-end="3418">Contribute to the development of guidelines, protocols, and care pathways and ensure consistent adoption across teams.</p></li><li data-start="3419" data-end="3519"><p data-start="3421" data-end="3519">Operationalize Medical Director–defined standards into clear, enforceable clinical expectations.</p></li><li data-start="3520" data-end="3595"><p data-start="3522" data-end="3595">Provide expert clinical consultation for complex cases and escalations.</p></li><li data-start="3596" data-end="3694"><p data-start="3598" data-end="3694">Participate in and lead clinical committees, including chair responsibilities where appropriate.</p></li></ul><h4 data-start="3696" data-end="3745">Cross-Functional Execution &amp; Communication</h4><ul data-start="3746" data-end="4037"><li data-start="3746" data-end="3887"><p data-start="3748" data-end="3887">Participate in operational and clinical leadership forums; ensure timely, accurate communication cascades through managers to clinicians.</p></li><li data-start="3888" data-end="4037"><p data-start="3890" data-end="4037">Partner closely with clinical ops, operations, product, quality, compliance, legal, finance, marketing, and commercial teams to execute priorities.</p></li></ul><h4 data-start="4039" data-end="4075">Quality, Safety &amp; Peer Review</h4><ul data-start="4076" data-end="4495"><li data-start="4076" data-end="4231"><p data-start="4078" data-end="4231">Support implementation and sustainment of quality and safety measures across the clinical workforce; retain accountability for standards and decisions.</p></li><li data-start="4232" data-end="4335"><p data-start="4234" data-end="4335">Lead clinical review and decision-making when risk signals arise, applying Just Culture principles.</p></li><li data-start="4336" data-end="4404"><p data-start="4338" data-end="4404">Participate in peer review and performance management processes.</p></li><li data-start="4405" data-end="4495"><p data-start="4407" data-end="4495">Partner with quality and education teams to identify learning gaps and improve outcomes.</p></li></ul><h4 data-start="4497" data-end="4536">Resource &amp; Workforce Stewardship</h4><ul data-start="4537" data-end="4912"><li data-start="4537" data-end="4640"><p data-start="4539" data-end="4640">Partner on staffing, capacity, and utilization planning; proactively surface risks and constraints.</p></li><li data-start="4641" data-end="4716"><p data-start="4643" data-end="4716">Provide budget inputs tied to care delivery performance and efficiency.</p></li><li data-start="4717" data-end="4805"><p data-start="4719" data-end="4805">Design and maintain a scalable workforce structure aligned with care delivery needs.</p></li><li data-start="4806" data-end="4912"><p data-start="4808" data-end="4912">Optimize scope of practice across license types to ensure the right work is done by the right clinician.</p></li></ul><hr data-start="4914" data-end="4917"><h3 data-start="4919" data-end="4939">Qualifications</h3><p data-start="4941" data-end="4955"><strong data-start="4941" data-end="4953">Required</strong></p><ul data-start="4956" data-end="5560"><li data-start="4956" data-end="5026"><p data-start="4958" data-end="5026">NP/APRN with active, unencumbered license and board certification.</p></li><li data-start="5027" data-end="5117"><p data-start="5029" data-end="5117">Experience providing direct patient care in a telehealth or virtual-first environment.</p></li><li data-start="5118" data-end="5188"><p data-start="5120" data-end="5188">2+ years of telehealth experience in a regulated clinical setting.</p></li><li data-start="5189" data-end="5296"><p data-start="5191" data-end="5296">5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing managers and leading large clinical teams.</p></li><li data-start="5297" data-end="5408"><p data-start="5299" data-end="5408">Strong clinical governance instincts and comfort with escalation management and performance accountability.</p></li><li data-start="5409" data-end="5497"><p data-start="5411" data-end="5497">Demonstrated ability to execute operationally in a fast-paced, scaling organization.</p></li><li data-start="5498" data-end="5560"><p data-start="5500" data-end="5560">Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.</p></li></ul><p data-start="5562" data-end="5577"><strong data-start="5562" data-end="5575">Preferred</strong></p><ul data-start="5578" data-end="5831"><li data-start="5578" data-end="5658"><p data-start="5580" data-end="5658">Multi-state licensure or ability to obtain and maintain additional licenses.</p></li><li data-start="5659" data-end="5738"><p data-start="5661" data-end="5738">Experience in women’s health and/or high-growth virtual care organizations.</p></li><li data-start="5739" data-end="5831"><p data-start="5741" data-end="5831">Background in quality improvement, peer review, or Just Culture–informed review practices.</p></li></ul><hr data-start="5833" data-end="5836"><h3 data-start="5838" data-end="5857">Why This Role</h3><p data-start="5858" data-end="6106">This role is designed for a clinical leader who wants <strong data-start="5912" data-end="5930">real ownership</strong>—of people, performance, and care delivery—while staying grounded in patient care.
