This role is a client-facing opportunity focused on delivering exceptional onboarding experiences for organizations implementing employee benefits programs. You will lead the transition from sales to active implementation, ensuring each client is set up for long-term success through accurate configuration, smooth coordination, and proactive support. The position requires close collaboration with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to manage timelines, resolve challenges, and maintain momentum. You will play a critical role in creating structured onboarding strategies that minimize risk and maximize readiness. Accountabilities:
  • Lead end-to-end onboarding of employee benefits programs for newly acquired clients, ensuring smooth and timely implementation
  • Design onboarding strategies, project timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation plans for assigned accounts
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for clients throughout the onboarding lifecycle
  • Facilitate client success meetings, set agendas, drive decisions, and ensure accountability across stakeholders
  • Coordinate setup and implementation activities with carriers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Ensure accurate completion of carrier submissions, plan configurations, and enrollment readiness activities
  • Establish onboarding controls to maintain data integrity, compliance, and operational readiness before launch
  • Manage deliverables and deadlines across vendors, HRIS platforms, and internal departments
  • Provide implementation guidance and readiness updates to client-facing internal partners
  • Lead seamless handoff of onboarded clients to account management and retention teams
  • Recommend improvements to onboarding processes, workflows, and client experience standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits brokerage, benefits administration, implementation, or related client service roles
  • Demonstrated success leading client onboarding or implementation projects
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, eligibility rules, and platform configuration processes
  • Experience coordinating with carriers, vendors, and multiple internal stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities effectively
  • Active Life & Health insurance license preferred
  • Proficiency with benefits systems, HRIS platforms, or implementation tools is a plus
