Position Summary:
The CTO will serve as the senior executive responsible for enterprise technology strategy, security, data, AI, and systems integration across Restore First Health. This role requires a rare blend of public-company rigor, healthcare domain expertise, cybersecurity leadership, and hands-on technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Technology & Systems
- Lead architecture, development, and integration of enterprise systems including EHRs, ERP, HRIS, general ledger, data platforms, and reporting tools
- Oversee simultaneous management of multiple EHR platforms, particularly during acquisitions and integrations
- Own system scalability, uptime, reliability, and performance across all markets
- Establish and manage help desk operations, ticketing systems, SLAs, and end-user support
Healthcare Technology Leadership
- Ensure all systems support clinical workflows, reimbursement models, and regulatory requirements
- Partner with clinical, operations, finance, and revenue cycle leaders to optimize technology for patient outcomes and efficiency
- Maintain deep working knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems and data flows
AI, Data & Analytics
- Define and execute the company-wide AI and machine learning strategy
- Implement AI-driven solutions for:
- Predictive analytics and patient care insights
- Operational forecasting and decision support
- Executive dashboards and real-time performance reporting
- Lead enterprise reporting and analytics using Power BI, SQL, and AI-enabled tools
Security, Privacy & Risk Management
- Own HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and enterprise cybersecurity strategy
- Lead incident response, recovery, and prevention related to ransomware and cyber threats
- Implement and manage advanced security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike Falcon or similar platforms)
- Protect executive, patient, and enterprise data—including dark-web monitoring, credit protection, and liability mitigation
- Partner with legal, compliance, and insurance providers on cyber risk governance
Public Company & SEC Responsibilities
- Support SEC disclosure requirements, including technology-related controls, risks, and AK filings
- Participate in compliance and risk committees
- Ensure ITGCs (IT General Controls) and audit readiness for public-company standards
- Partner with Finance and Legal on SOX-aligned technology controls
M&A and Integration Leadership
- Lead technology diligence and integration for migrations and acquisitions
- Rapidly stabilize, secure, and integrate acquired systems and data
- Standardize platforms while minimizing disruption to clinical and operational teams
Qualifications:
- Healthcare technology experience (mandatory)
- Prior IPO or public-company experience with direct SEC exposure
- Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies with relevant certifications
- Proven AI and machine learning implementation experience
- Advanced cybersecurity and data protection background
- Demonstrated success leading ransomware response and recovery
Technical Expertise
- Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, M365, security stack, identity management)
- Oracle ERP platforms (NetSuite required; Fusion and/or PeopleSoft a plus)
- SQL database management and data architecture
- Power BI and executive reporting
- Experience with Athelas or similar AI-enabled EHR platforms
- Capital budgeting and location-based financial planning support
Leadership & Operating Style
- Comfortable being hands-on while leading at the executive level
- Strong cross-functional partner to clinical, finance, operations, and People teams
- Proven builder in high-growth, acquisition-heavy environments
- Executive presence with the ability to communicate technical concepts to Boards and investors
Preferred:
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership
- Experience in value-based care or provider organizations
- Big Four, public-company, or heavily regulated enterprise background strongly preferred
