This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Chief of Staff in United States.

This is a high-impact, mission-driven leadership role operating at the center of a complex, multi-entity organization focused on education policy and advocacy. The Chief of Staff serves as the operational right hand to the President, translating strategic vision into execution and ensuring organizational alignment across teams, priorities, and systems. This role combines strategic oversight, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on execution in a fast-paced political and policy environment. It requires strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to navigate a multi-entity structure with legal and operational complexity. The position plays a critical role in driving accountability, improving internal systems, and enabling organizational effectiveness at scale. It is designed for a leader who thrives in mission-oriented environments and excels at turning strategy into disciplined execution.

Accountabilities:
  • Act as the President’s primary operational partner, driving execution of strategic priorities and ensuring alignment across departments and organizational entities.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives by structuring projects, coordinating stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery of key organizational goals.
  • Exercise delegated authority on internal operational decisions, escalating only matters requiring executive-level judgment or external sensitivity.
  • Build and maintain organization-wide accountability systems, including goal setting, performance tracking, and internal communication rhythms.
  • Oversee coordination across a multi-entity structure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment between C3, C4, and PAC activities.
  • Improve internal operational infrastructure, including HR, finance, compliance, and technology systems, to support organizational growth and efficiency.
  • Foster a strong organizational culture rooted in performance, inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support leadership development and staff effectiveness through close partnership with department heads and internal teams.

Requirements:

  • 5–7+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, senior operations, or cross-functional leadership role in a political, advocacy, nonprofit, or similarly complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of or experience within multi-entity structures such as 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), or PAC organizations, including compliance frameworks and regulatory boundaries.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage complex initiatives without direct line authority over all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience exercising delegated authority and making independent, high-quality decisions within defined scopes.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear briefings, memos, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and trust-building leadership style.
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in both mindset and practice.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range between $150,000 and $170,000, based on experience.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Paid family leave and generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, floating holidays, and national holidays.
  • Life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage.
  • Cell phone and internet reimbursement.
  • Flexible spending account options.
  • Inclusive, mission-driven work environment with strong commitment to equity and representation.
