Chief of Staff

About the RoleOpenLoop is looking for a Chief of Staff to support Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team remotely or at HQ in Des Moines, IA. You will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing complex cross-functional projects, and ensuring operational alignment across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving challenges across departments, and is comfortable navigating a broad and evolving scope of responsibilities.What You'll Do<ul><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Lead and execute high-impact projects directly assigned by the CSO and COO across multiple departments.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Partner with leadership to drive strategic initiatives and operational improvements that support organizational scale and efficiency.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Coordinate and manage cross-functional workstreams, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Own recurring reports, internal processes, and special initiatives as delegated by the COO.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Communicate effectively with leadership and teams to maintain clarity and alignment.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Partner with the COO and functional leads on M&A activities, including managing diligence, coordinating cross-functional inputs, and supporting integration planning and execution.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Serve as a point of coordination with legal counsel on contract workflows, compliance matters, vendor negotiations, and internal risk processes.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Translate strategic goals into actionable plans by working with product, engineering, and operations teams to track progress and resolve roadblocks.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Lead and manage high-priority cross-functional projects from planning through execution.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Streamline internal processes, improve operational reporting, and ensure follow-through on key COO initiatives.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Who You Are<ul><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier/Ivy League institution.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">3-5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or similar roles in dynamic, fast-paced environments.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for leadership.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent communicator—clear, concise, and confident when engaging with senior leadership.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Resourceful problem-solver with strong ownership and a bias for action.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Thrives in ambiguity and can quickly adapt to changing priorities and scopes.</li><li style="line-height: 1.2; font-size: 12pt;">Experience in startups, healthcare, or tech-enabled businesses preferred.</li></ul><div class="content-conclusion"> <hr><h2 style="line-height: 1.2;">About OpenLoop</h2>OpenLoop was co-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring healing anywhere.
