The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will lead and shape the organization’s global information security strategy, ensuring the protection, integrity, and availability of digital assets and technology infrastructure. This executive role provides strategic oversight, risk management, and compliance governance, while fostering a culture of security awareness across the enterprise. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with business goals. The role offers an opportunity to influence organizational strategy, oversee critical incident response, and drive enterprise-wide improvements in cybersecurity posture. This position is ideal for a seasoned leader with a passion for innovation, risk management, and operational excellence in a dynamic, global environment.
· Provide strategic leadership and vision for enterprise-wide information security programs, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
· Develop, implement, and maintain global security policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2.
· Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning, serving as the primary control point during critical security events.
· Lead and mentor security teams, including staff development, performance management, and resource planning.
· Partner with senior leadership and external stakeholders to manage IT risk, third-party/vendor security, and privacy compliance.
· Chair governance and steering committees related to security technology and enterprise risk, providing expert guidance to the Board and executives.
· Drive security awareness training and program development across the organization, measuring effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline; advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) preferred.
· CISSP or CISM certification required; additional certifications such as GIAC, CCSP, CRISC, or PMP are a plus.
· 10+ years of management experience in technology or business organizations with strategic leadership responsibilities.
· 7+ years of direct management experience overseeing security teams and budgets.
· Proven expertise in cloud security, regulatory compliance frameworks, risk management, and enterprise IT security architecture.
· Strong knowledge of security domains, including auditing, policy, database security, firewall design, identity/access management, and web services.
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience managing geographically diverse teams.
· Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change, strategic thinking, and innovative security solutions.
