The Role

We’re looking for a Chargeback & Recovery Specialist to manage and optimize our chargeback and collections processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Chargeback Management

  • Review and process chargeback disputes, ensuring compliance with Visa regulations (e.g., Visa Resolve Online).

  • Investigate disputed transactions, gather supporting documentation, and file disputes on behalf of cardholders.

  • Track and manage disputes from initiation to resolution, providing timely updates.

  • Identify chargeback trends and recommend strategies to reduce disputes.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg Z).

  • Provide reports and insights to improve internal risk management.

Debt Collection & Risk Strategy

  • Support efforts to recover outstanding balances and minimize losses.

  • Work with collection agencies to optimize recovery strategies.

  • Monitor overdue accounts and assist in securing payments when necessary.

What You Bring

Experience & Expertise

  • 2+ years of experience in chargeback processing and dispute resolution, preferably in financial services or fintech.

  • Strong understanding of Visa’s dispute guidelines and issuer-side chargeback regulations (Reg E, Reg Z).

Skills & Attributes

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes efficiently.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with financial systems, databases, and tools (Excel, Word, internet-based platforms).

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with credit card issuers or collections in fintech or financial services.

  • Familiarity with SQL, Metabase, Tableau, or Power BI for data analysis.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, equity, and 401K.

  • Full health benefits (medical, dental, vision).

  • Generous vacation policy and paid company holidays.

  • Complimentary Atlas Membership—access to premium dining and travel experiences.

Compensation: $57,000–$75,000, based on experience, skill level, and location.

Why Join Atlas?

We’re building a best-in-class financial product with a high-growth team that values efficiency, precision, and impact. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and want to be part of the next evolution in fintech, we’d love to hear from you.
