Take ownership of a growing technical certification program that empowers professionals to validate their expertise in modern data technologies. In this highly visible role, you will design and expand hands-on certification exams, enhance credentialing experiences, and help build a thriving global community of certified professionals. Working closely with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams, you will ensure certification content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry needs. You'll also leverage data to continuously improve the program while supporting learners throughout their certification journey. Accountabilities- Lead the development, expansion, and ongoing management of a technical certification program, including hands-on, performance-based certification exams.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to conduct job task analyses and define certification objectives aligned with real-world use cases.
- Design, maintain, grade, and improve certification exams, including developing grading scripts and assessment methodologies.
- Create and deploy quizzes and credentialing assessments that support course completion and certification pathways.
- Manage relationships with certification and digital badging vendors to ensure smooth delivery of exams and credentials.
- Track certification program performance through KPIs and analytics, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to learners pursuing certifications while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Build engagement within the certified professional community through social media, industry events, conferences, and meetups.
- Represent the certification program at selected events to promote learning initiatives and strengthen community relationships.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing certification exams and technical assessments for software engineers, database professionals, or other highly technical audiences.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database technologies, with familiarity across DBMS, OLAP systems, distributed systems, cloud platforms, SaaS, or big data environments.
- Experience creating hands-on or performance-based certification exams is highly preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and translate technical concepts into effective learning and assessment materials.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, support, marketing, and learning teams.
- Self-motivated, organized, and accountable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Additional experience in curriculum development, technical training, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), or database technologies is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to conferences, meetups, and industry events.
