About the role

Buxton is looking for an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic sales organization. As a BDR at Buxton, you will be instrumental in the growth of our organization by generating qualified sales pipeline for our Account Executive team. The primary responsibility for this role is to generate new business opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting.

We welcome collaborative and energetic individuals that can contribute to aligned sales and marketing efforts, work in a fast-paced environment, deliver pipeline results, and work proactively to drive overall sales performance.

What you'll do

  • Build a killer pipeline from all the right places—outbound hustle, inbound leads, industry events, and maybe even a little magic.
  • Work your outreach magic across phone, email, and social—because no great opportunity should go untouched.
  • Hit your goals like a champ: outreach targets, meetings booked, and high-quality opportunities secured.
  • Keep us in the loop with regular updates on how your efforts are turning interest into action.
  • Team up with our awesome BDR leadership to spot what’s slowing us down and make it better, faster, smarter.
  • Use AI and the latest tools to supercharge your workflow and stay ahead of the game.

What We’re Looking For

  • You’ve got at least a year of experience in sales or recruitment and a track record that shows you know how to deliver.
  • You’re self-driven, goal-oriented, and don’t give up easily—you know how to keep going when others might stop.
  • You’re confident connecting with prospects across all platforms—calls, emails, social—but always lead with the phone.
  • You’ve got sharp business instincts and can clearly articulate the value of our platform and how Buxton helps solve real customer challenges.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but your hustle matters most.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience in retail analytics—we love a data-savvy storyteller.
  • Familiarity with the sales tech stack: Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo—extra credit for knowing how to use them well.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in an outbound role—whether in SaaS, recruiting, or door-to-door sales—with a proven record of hitting goals.
  • Self-motivated and resilient, with a strong drive to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Confident communicator across phone, email, and social platforms, with a call-first mindset.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

The Targeted Base Salary Range for candidates located in the U.S. is $55,000 to $65,000.


The actual salary offered will depend on several factors, including experience, specialized skills, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include bonuses or, for sales roles, commission-based earnings, depending on the role and eligibility.
