This position is a member of Agile teams with purpose to ensure that a defined product or products meets the customer needs. The purpose is to achieve team goals along with delivery of defined and prioritized Product Backlog items as established by Product and the team. 

The position is organizationally aligned within the business area with collaborative relationships across IT teams and various technical teams supporting BX systems and products. (Open to candidates within the Continental US)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop product vision, epics / features based on group objectives and synchronize it with Scrum Masters, other Product Owners, team, and Stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary liaison between team(s) and stakeholders.
  • Represent the voice of the customer ensuring customer needs are met and value is delivered to customer.
  • Order items in the Product Backlog to best achieve product and team metrics.
  • Ensure product viability and compliance to required controls like security, privacy, regulatory, etc.
  • Optimize the business value of the work the technical team performs.
  • Ensure that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Agile team will work on next.
  • Scope the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) considering capacity constraints and sustained development of the product.
  • Provide vision and direction to the dev team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements that appropriately represents the business need into application development process.
  • Work in close coordination with Business SMEs to set and enforce the strategic direction for the work.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories and epics to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value and aligned to product strategy.
  • Provide Backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of user stories.
  • Work closely with leadership to create and maintain a Product Backlog according to business value / ROI.
  • Build Product Backlog to achieve business goals, continuously keep the backlog up to date through meetings with the teams & stakeholders.
  • Refine the Product Backlog with the Agile team & stakeholders ensuring transparency and the top of the Product Backlog is ready to be worked on by the development team.
  • Interact with other technical teams and stakeholders as part of synchronization events to assist with ordering the Product Backlog.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the delivery of ‘Done’ Increments.
  • Define the set of necessary competences in the Agile team
  • Assist in the development of and actively participate in the community of practice of product ownership.
  • Create an environment for personal growth and continuous learning.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Business Management, Management Information Systems, or equivalent trade-off in professional related work experience with demonstrated achievement and progressive responsibilities required.
  • 5 or more years previous working experience in a Product leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technology products and solutions, impact analysis along with prior knowledge & understanding of business areas.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Proven ability to communicate business and technical information clearly and effectively and mediate in situations where conflict arises. Understanding of how and when to escalate issues to the appropriate levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals and teams across a business technology organization to meet complex product delivery needs in line with business vision and expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strategy and understanding systemic change by organizing individual pieces into an interrelated whole.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate the organization and influence key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to mitigate risks proactively and resolve issues.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum process and principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinker with a vision with attention to detail.

Preferred Skillset:

  • Looking for someone who can operate independently with business/stakeholders, but also good at collaborating with our internal team.
  • Strong relationship skillset needed for this role.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$91,300.00 - $136,900.00
