The Business Performance Associate Director will lead the development and advancement of business performance capabilities across a global quality organization. The role connects strategic priorities, investments, execution, and value realization to strengthen organizational performance and accountability. You will develop business cases, performance frameworks, and decision tools that help senior leaders prioritize investments and allocate resources effectively. By integrating operational, portfolio, and financial data, you will turn complex information into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions such as Quality, Technology, Finance, and business operations. You will also help establish scalable dashboards, governance mechanisms, and decision frameworks that support data-driven planning. Accountabilities:- Lead the development of comprehensive business cases for strategic initiatives, incorporating operational requirements, financial considerations, risks, expected benefits, and clear recommendations for leadership decision-making and investment prioritization.
- Establish frameworks and mechanisms to define, measure, track, and demonstrate the value of strategic initiatives across financial, operational, capacity, quality, and organizational dimensions.
- Partner with initiative owners to monitor benefits realization and ensure that expected outcomes are sustained over time.
- Integrate operational, portfolio, and financial data to identify performance trends, opportunities, risks, and trade-offs, translating findings into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.
- Partner with functional leaders to connect strategy, investments, resources, and execution, supporting portfolio prioritization, scenario planning, resource allocation, and long-range business planning.
- Develop scalable business performance tools, dashboards, governance mechanisms, and decision frameworks that improve organizational visibility, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders by challenging assumptions, framing complex business problems, evaluating alternatives, and influencing decisions that improve performance and maximize value.
- Manage complex projects and programs while coordinating stakeholders across a highly matrixed and evolving environment.
- Foster strong relationships with customers and supporting functions, ensuring effective collaboration and consistent delivery against strategic priorities.
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree with at least 3 years of Quality and/or Operational Excellence experience, or a Master’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 14 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with and influencing senior leadership and customers, ideally within cross-functional business operations or strategic project management environments.
- Strong ability to communicate complex concepts and processes clearly through both written and verbal presentations.
- Working understanding of Quality and GxP principles, with experience applying structured approaches to operational excellence.
- Proven ability to execute and manage complex projects and programs from planning through delivery.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, and their potential application to business and operational activities.
- Broad understanding of functional interdependencies within a global quality organization and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Highly structured, organized, proactive, and capable of independently managing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, including experience working effectively with functions such as Technology and Finance.
- Ability to demonstrate sound decision-making, effective meeting management, and disciplined execution within established decision-making frameworks.
- Comfortable working in matrixed, highly fluid environments while maintaining accountability for timely delivery.
- Strong facilitation, prioritization, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
