We are hiring a Business Operations Manager to make Silktide run brilliantly in the US. You will assist in keeping our company compliant, our security signals green, our finances predictable, and our people unblocked. Think of this as part builder, part air-traffic control, all about momentum.
You will assist in designing and running the operating model for Silktide. Some days you will roll up your sleeves and ship the work. Other days you will coordinate specialists, vendors, or counsel. Either way, you create clarity, close loops, and raise the bar.
Your key responsibilities include:
Keep us compliant and audit ready. Maintain our compliance calendar, file on time, and keep clean, accessible records.
Champion trust and security. Maintain our controls, support reviews and questionnaires, and make sure stakeholders always see green.
Create operational flow. Run a simple, visible intake so teams get quick answers and nothing blocks delivery.
Own the finance rhythm. Partner with the COO on close, forecasting, and budget reviews. Surface insights early with recommended actions.
Support people operations in the US. Act as a HR representative for US staff.
Manage vendors and access. Onboard vendors, track renewals, and keep access clean as our team changes.
Look after our Austin space. Keep the office running smoothly through sensible vendors, supplies, and creating a fun environment.
Automate the boring stuff. Spot repeatable work and remove it with templates, simple scripts, and practical AI.
This is a hybrid role based in Austin, Texas. You will work three days a week from our super cool, dog-friendly Downtown Austin office with 24/7 parking included!
Have 2+ years of business operations experience in a SaaS or tech company.
Have a well-rounded understanding of US HR practices and regulations.
Are a great communicator. You write clearly, document decisions, and explain complex topics simply.
Have a bias for action. You deliver outcomes, close loops, and keep work moving.
Are compliance-savvy. You streamline policy, keep us legally compliant, and favor pragmatic controls over bureaucracy.
Are detail oriented and organized, with clean records and accurate numbers.
Are comfortable juggling multiple priorities while keeping stakeholders informed.
Love using AI and automation to remove repetitive work and speed up cycle times.
Are fluent in English and eligible to work in the United States.
Prefer planning over doing and want to stay at 30,000 feet.
Optimize for box-ticking and policy over results and speed.
Add process where a template, macro, or small script would do.
Measure progress by meetings instead of shipped outcomes and clear SLAs.
Need a big-company playbook and lots of approvals to act.
