Business Loan Processing Specialist

The role is responsible for supporting end-to-end business loan processing activities while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will help manage funding workflows, organize documentation, and contribute to building scalable processes for commercial lending operations.

• Process commercial financing applications, including SBA loans, SBA Express loans, working capital loans, business lines of credit, business credit cards, equipment financing, and other business funding products.
• Collect, review, organize, and validate borrower documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare loan files for submission while verifying lender requirements and documentation standards.
• Monitor application progress, track funding milestones, and communicate updates throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Coordinate with lenders, funding partners, and financial institutions as needed.
• Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, pipeline reports, and document management systems.
• Support funding operations by identifying and resolving processing delays or workflow issues.
• Recommend improvements to loan processing procedures and operational workflows.
• Help create repeatable systems, documentation, and best practices to improve scalability.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
• Provide administrative support related to reporting, workflow tracking, and business operations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in commercial lending or business funding environments, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage loan documentation independently. You should have a process-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills.

• Previous experience processing SBA and SBA Express loans is required.
• Experience processing working capital loans and business lines of credit is required.
• Experience with business credit cards, equipment financing, or alternative funding products is preferred.
• Background working with commercial lending, business finance, or business funding companies.
• Strong understanding of lender documentation requirements and underwriting processes.
• Familiarity with commercial loan workflows, funding operations, and financial documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with commercial lending platforms, CRM systems, and document management tools is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
