Job Description 

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst (Healthcare) 

Base Salary: $95,000 to $110,000, based on years of experience and skillset

Location: West Coast, USA 

Work model: Remote

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel may be required

Reports to: Sr. Director, Healthcare Applications

Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role will be responsible for the design and development of advanced data visualizations, managing ETL pipelines, and delivering impactful analytical insights to improve healthcare outcomes. 

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, transformation, and optimization for actionable reporting and performance efficiency in a healthcare setting. This role will work in partnership with our Care Community Leaders at Indigenous Pact. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Power BI Dashboard Development: Develop, design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights for stakeholders. Collaboration: Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and create effective visualizations.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Connect to multiple data sources, import, transform, and optimize data for reporting and performance efficiency. Conduct thorough data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards.
  • Advanced Data Models and DAX Measures: Implement advanced data models and measures using DAX to enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Documentation of Data Models, Reports and Analytical Processes: Document Power BI solutions, including data models, workflows, and usage instructions for ongoing reference and improvements.
  • Troubleshooting and Best Practices: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Power BI reports and data models while staying updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Strong understanding of Power BI architecture, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare and experience drawing business insights from healthcare data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation to query and transform data from various sources.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is considered an asset. 
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git is a desirable asset. 
  • Background in software engineering principles or experience working in an Agile environment is considered an asset.
