This role sits at the intersection of strategic sales, technical consulting, and relationship management within a dynamic manufacturing and engineering environment. You will be responsible for driving new business growth while strengthening long-term partnerships with clients across industries such as utilities, manufacturing, and infrastructure solutions. The position combines field-based customer engagement with remote strategic planning, requiring frequent travel across the Western United States. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, estimating, and marketing, to design tailored solutions that meet complex customer needs. Success in this role depends on your ability to understand technical challenges, translate them into commercial opportunities, and close high-value deals. It is a highly impactful position where relationship-building and strategic execution directly shape business growth.


Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, including managing both new business development and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying needs, presenting tailored solutions, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings (on-site and remote) to assess operational requirements and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
  • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and marketing teams to align solutions with customer expectations and project requirements.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, pipeline management, negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closure.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity while providing insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

This role requires strong experience in technical or solution-based sales, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure environments. You should be comfortable engaging with both technical and executive stakeholders, understanding complex supply chain and operational challenges, and translating them into actionable business opportunities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in product sales, technical account management, or similar roles
  • Strong understanding of industrial or manufacturing environments (utilities, infrastructure, or similar sectors preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close high-value deals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze customer needs and propose tailored technical solutions
  • Experience conducting market research and identifying business opportunities
  • Willingness to travel 70–80% within the assigned region
