Job Summary
Create Music Group is seeking a highly organized and motivated Business Development Intern to support the day-to-day operations of our Joint Venture, M&A, and Publishing initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you’ll gain firsthand exposure to strategic dealmaking, catalog acquisition, and publishing operations.
This is an unpaid, part-time internship designed for current students receiving college credit. Interns must be eligible to work in the U.S. and available for 10–20 hours per week over a 3–4 month term.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and tracking active deals across JVs, publishing, and M&A
- Conduct research on catalogs, rights holders, and publishing clients
- Support the creation of internal summaries, pitch decks, and briefs
- Help maintain deal flow trackers, publishing splits, and follow-up notes
- Sit in on internal meetings and gain exposure to high-level strategy conversations
- Assist with light royalty or metadata organization tasks
- Collaborate with other departments when necessary (e.g., A&R, RevOps)
Qualifications
- Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, and receive credit for this internship
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Interest in the business side of the music industry (publishing, A&R, acquisitions, etc.)
- Comfortable using Google Sheets/Excel and working remotely
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential material
