The Business Development Director will consult with district administrators about how research can transform K-12 districts in a variety of ways. A highly motivated sales professional can use their knowledge of market trends and Hanover’s research and consulting capabilities to craft compelling solutions and generate revenue for the company while maximizing personal earning potential.Â

ResponsibilitiesÂ
Consult with prospects to identify challenges and issues impacting education leadersÂ
Educate prospects on solutions offered by Hanover’s unique products and servicesÂ
Deliver polished presentations by phone and in-person that move opportunities from introduction to closeÂ
Manage a robust pipeline of prospectsÂ
Accurately forecast based upon realistic opportunity assessmentÂ
Meet challenging monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goalsÂ
Act as a mentor to entry-level associatesÂ
Desired Skills and AttributesÂ
Bachelor’s degree required (business, social sciences, education, communications, political science, economics, psychology, public policy preferred)Â
Minimum of 4+ years of consultative sales experienceÂ
Education Technology/Digital Product/ SaaS sales background preferredÂ
Excellent oral and written communication skillsÂ
Well-developed ability to ask probing questions and match solutions to prospects’ challengesÂ
Strong organization skills and ability to manage a busy pipeline and meeting calendarÂ
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SalesforceÂ
Ability to travel up to 20%Â

Compensation: Â
Hanover Research strives to create compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, equitable and fair. The On Target Earning (OTE) range for this role is $115,000 - $189,000 per year, which is comprised of a base salary range from $80,000 - $105,000 and a variable uncapped commission structure ranging from $35,000 - $84,000 when goal is 100% obtained for this role. Please note that the base salary offered is contingent on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  Our base pay range is determined by the role and the market. Â
