Business Analyst/Technical Writer

Location: Remote (U.S.)  Clearance: Ability to obtain a Public Trust  LTS is seeking a Business Analyst/Technical Writer to join our team and support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Portfolio.The VA Health Portfolio is focused on development and execution of quality IT projects that address the needs of Veterans and health care providers through management of health care information and sustainment of production software to keep the mission going.The Health Services Program Management Office (PMO) support contract provides IT program management, project management, technical management, financial management, functional planning, and documentation analysis in support of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) Enterprise Program Management Division (EPMD) Health Portfolio. What You’ll Do:<ul><li>Able to function as subject matter expert in order to collect complete and accurate business requirements from business SMEs by means of interviews, workflow analyses, and facilitated discussions.</li><li>Understand the client’s business issues and challenges.</li><li>Translate users' business needs into detailed epics, user stories, and requirements.</li><li>Analyze, review, and document the requirements of a project throughout the lifecycle.</li><li>Complete functional analysis of requirements as needed.</li><li>Conduct research, analyze information needs, and perform analysis to support the delivery of relevant artifacts including business process diagrams, reports, and presentations.</li><li>Create and present functional and technical requirements to business and IT teams and write user stories and acceptance criteria.</li><li>Discover functional dependencies and help make recommendations on system/business solutions to mitigate risk.</li><li>Work as a team player and leader in order to effectively coordinate across functional teams.</li><li>Ability to create a framework by which development and testing can be validated.</li><li>Create clear and accessible technical documentation (plain language) by using straightforward language, ensuring that complex information is easily understood.
