This role is not about traditional full‑stack development or deep specialization in a single language. Instead, it is about:<ul><li>Understanding what to build.</li><li>Breaking down ambiguous problems into actionable components.</li><li>Using modern AI‑augmented development workflows to deliver fast, high‑quality software.</li><li>Operating like an early‑stage founder: autonomous, resourceful, scrappy, and business‑aware.</li></ul>Builders are multipliers. They combine engineering intuition, business context, and AI‑enabled tooling to produce outcomes an order of magnitude faster than a traditional engineer. If your workflow looks like AI‑enhanced context generation, rapid decomposition, skills/agent configuration, automated pipelines, and iterative prompt‑driven development — we want to talk.<h3>Responsibilities</h3>AI‑First Software Development<ul><li>Break down product or business problems into clear technical components and implementation steps.</li><li>Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, cloud‑based coding agents, prompt‑driven scaffolding) to design, build, and refine systems end‑to‑end.</li><li>Configure and maintain AI‑assisted development workflows: skills, agents, context blocks, pipelines, tests, and automation.</li></ul>Operational Excellence<ul><li>Behave like an operator: understand business objectives, evaluate tradeoffs, and define what needs to be built before building it.</li><li>Adapt quickly to new information, change directions, and incorporate evolving requirements.</li></ul>Product + Execution<ul><li>Build early prototypes, internal tools, automation workflows, APIs, and small applications used across the Red Cell ecosystem.</li><li>Contribute to company‑wide initiatives including:<ul><li>New Incubation/Startup development</li><li>Ecosystem tooling and developer workflows</li></ul></li></ul><h3>What “Great” Looks Like</h3><ul><li>You use AI as your co‑developer, not as a convenience.</li><li>You can explain your workflow — how you structure prompts, how you configure agents, and how you evaluate quality.</li><li>You prefer clarity of problem decomposition over lines of code.</li><li>You are calm when things break and can reason from first principles.</li><li>You track the frontier and quickly adopt new tools without needing months of onboarding.</li><li>You enjoy ambiguity and creating order from chaos.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Strong technical background (software engineering, ML, mobile, systems, or similar).</li><li>Demonstrated use of AI tooling in real development work.</li><li>Ability to explain how you break down problems, define context, and structure workflows.</li><li>Experience building systems end‑to‑end (products, tools, prototypes, integrations, SDKs, automations).</li><li>Entrepreneurial or operator mindset — you’ve built things without being told exactly how.</li></ul><h3>Nice to Have</h3><ul><li>ML model development experience.</li><li>Experience building SDKs or developer‑facing tools.</li><li>Experience with workflow automation systems.</li><li>Experience in early‑stage startups or founder‑like roles.</li><li>Exposure to robotics, DoD, or applied sciences (nice‑to‑have, not required).</li></ul> Salary Range: $200,000-300,000.
