Blockchain Security Expert - Chain Security Evaluation Track

We are currently looking for a Blockchain Security Expert - Chain Security Evaluation Track in United States.

In this role, you will focus on securing blockchain infrastructures by performing advanced security evaluations, audits, and testing on nodes, validators, consensus mechanisms, and networking layers. You will work with blockchain frameworks, analyze potential vulnerabilities, and develop automated scripts to simulate real-world scenarios. The position offers a high-impact environment where you will collaborate with global security teams, contribute to improving blockchain safety, and stay at the forefront of emerging threats in the decentralized ecosystem. Your work will directly influence the reliability and resilience of blockchain platforms, while engaging in challenging technical problems with a mix of hands-on testing and strategic security planning.

• Accountabilities:
• Conduct in-depth security assessments of blockchain nodes, validators, consensus protocols, mempool behaviors, and chain modules.
• Review and analyze blockchain frameworks including Cosmos SDK, CometBFT, Geth, Hyperledger, and other L1/L2/L3 infrastructures.
• Identify security vulnerabilities related to consensus safety, chain halts, permission model flaws, and block production issues.
• Design and execute automated and manual testing scenarios to simulate validator/network behavior, stress conditions, and edge cases.
• Collaborate with the security team to expand and enhance blockchain security services and solutions.
• Monitor emerging trends and threats in blockchain security to maintain best practices and proactive mitigation strategies.
• Requirements:
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• High diligence and attention to detail, especially in multi-step testing and long-running experiments.
• Solid understanding of blockchain architecture and node internals (Cosmos SDK, CometBFT, Go-Ethereum (Geth), Hyperledger Fabric/Besu).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized testing environments.
• Prior experience in manual Web3 security auditing is a plus, but not required.
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving capabilities, and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
