This is a remote position.

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Bilingual Patient Access Representative. As a Patient Access Representative, you will assist patients during the onsite registration and arrival processes for scheduled and unscheduled visits.This position is onsite. The pay for this position is $21.58-$22.58 per hour.


 

Responsibilities of a Patient Access Representative:

  • Assists patients with onsite customer service functions (e.g., billing, medical record, and collection inquiries) by coordinating with other patient business services functions and departments such as Financial Counseling. The ability to perform collections and cashiering functions when necessary.
  • Ensures that all necessary documents, including consents, insurance card copies, photo IDs, and other documents as deemed necessary are scanned into the patient business cycle system and obtain all necessary patient signatures at time of arrival.
  • Activates patients in the patient management system upon arrival on the date of service and assist patients and customers in navigating throughout the hospital facility.
  • Obtains and enter demographic and other financial and clinical information necessary for financial clearance of scheduled/unscheduled accounts.
  • Verifies that there is a complete physician order in place at time of service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of relatable experience
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, during one of the following shifts: 8am-5pm
  • Must be able to type (a data entry assessment is required).
  • Must be able to sit and stand for at least three hours.
  • Must have STRONG knowledge of Windows 10 OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be willing to consent to the performance of a background check.

 

Additional Details:

  • Employee should be able to start 12/2 with 3-4 weeks of training in the clinic
  • Employees will need to be able to come into the office
