This role plays a key part in supporting employee benefits consulting and client service teams by developing clear, accurate, and client-ready marketing and communication materials. You will be responsible for translating complex insurance and benefits data into structured RFP responses and presentations that support strategic decision-making for clients. The position requires close collaboration with sales, service, and carrier partners to ensure that all benefit proposals are complete, compliant, and effectively communicated. You will operate in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where precision, organization, and client service are essential. This is an opportunity to work across multiple stakeholders in the insurance and benefits ecosystem while contributing directly to successful client outcomes. The role is fully remote or hybrid, offering flexibility within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
Accountabilities:- Partner with sales and service teams to understand client objectives and requirements throughout the RFP and marketing process.
- Manage the end-to-end carrier and vendor marketing process, ensuring accurate and timely execution across diverse client cases and benefit structures.
- Organize and validate client data, including census information and plan designs, ensuring completeness and accuracy before submission to carriers.
- Review carrier proposals for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.
- Summarize and translate complex RFP responses into clear, client-ready presentations and deliverables.
- Collaborate with carrier and General Agent partners to support outsourcing and coordination of small group marketing processes.
- Support ongoing process improvements, documentation, and additional assigned projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in carrier or vendor marketing within the employee benefits or insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of group benefits products and insurance market structures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong ability in Excel, Word, and presentation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing client-facing materials.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in data and documentation.
- Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and improve processes proactively.
- Experience working in collaborative, client-focused environments with high service expectations.
- Active or obtainable California Department of Insurance Life License required (or within 3 months of hire).
