As a Backend Engineer focused on Crypto, you will play a critical role in building secure, scalable, and high-performance systems that enable customers to safely buy, hold, and transact digital assets. You will design and maintain backend services, APIs, and event-driven architectures to support financial products at scale, ensuring reliability and efficiency across the platform. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will implement best practices, improve tooling, and help define standards that elevate engineering excellence. Accountabilities:
• Build, maintain, and enhance backend services supporting crypto products and financial transactions.
• Design APIs and event-driven architectures to handle high-volume, secure, and scalable transaction processing.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure observability, reliability, and resilience.
• Contribute to documentation, tooling, and engineering best practices across the organization.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and support peers to elevate engineering standards and promote knowledge sharing.

Requirements

 • 5+ years of professional experience in backend or distributed systems development.
• Proven experience building production-grade APIs and financial services at scale.
• Proficiency in Node.js or equivalent modern backend frameworks (TypeScript, NestJS, Go, or Java).
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, AWS, and microservice or event-driven systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product, platform, and engineering teams.
• Proactive mindset, with a strong drive for execution and high-quality delivery.

Nice to Have:
• Experience with blockchain, digital wallets, or crypto-related backend systems.
• Knowledge of financial transaction processing, compliance, and security standards.
