This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AVP, West Area Sales in the United States.

In this role, you will lead sales expansion and retention across a multi-state region, overseeing senior sales leaders and directly managing top-performing account executives. You will set strategic direction, operating cadence, and standards to drive multi-suite adoption, predictable bookings, and on-time renewals. The position involves partnering with cross-functional teams to remove obstacles, optimize territory plans, and advance complex deals while maintaining executive-level relationships. You will be accountable for pipeline quality, forecast accuracy, and coaching your team to achieve revenue growth objectives. This role requires strategic thinking, operational rigor, and hands-on leadership in a high-impact, fast-paced environment focused on improving outcomes for customers and clients.


Accountabilities:
  • Lead, develop, and manage Regional Vice Presidents and Account Executives to achieve bookings, renewals, and multi-suite expansion targets
  • Establish and maintain operating cadence including weekly forecast reviews, monthly business reviews, and quarterly executive reviews with clear follow-up actions
  • Approve and oversee regional account and state plans, ensuring governance, executive sponsorship, and alignment with customer priorities
  • Remove obstacles and coordinate cross-functional support including Solution Consulting, Services Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, State Strategy, and Legal
  • Partner with strategy teams on multi-year pursuit plans, statewide expansion strategies, and market development initiatives
  • Inspect pipeline quality, deal health, and forecast accuracy in CRM; coach leaders on methodology, risk mitigation, and stage exit criteria
  • Shape territory segmentation, capacity planning, incentives, and pricing guidance in collaboration with Sales Ops and Finance
  • Travel as required (50–60%) to support strategic initiatives, executive workshops, and high-impact deals
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of sales leadership experience with 8+ years managing second-line field organizations in complex public-sector or enterprise environments
  • Proven track record leading teams to consistently achieve bookings, revenue retention, and multi-suite expansion across named and enterprise accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long-cycle, complex sales processes, cross-sell initiatives, and multi-persona executive engagements
  • Experience recruiting, ramping, and retaining high-performing sales managers and enterprise sellers; recognized as an effective coach
  • Strong operating cadence and pipeline/forecast management skills, with expertise in CRM inspection-ready reviews and forecast variance reduction
  • Proficiency in modern deal methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC) and mutual close plans, with a track record of driving stage exit discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced knowledge of K–12 or public-sector funding and procurement processes preferred
  • Advanced Salesforce proficiency for pipeline inspection, forecast variance management, and portfolio risk reviews

  • Competitive base salary ($223,200 - $283,100 USD) plus applicable commission
