Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and improving functional and automated testing strategies across enterprise-level applications supporting federal programs. You will ensure high-quality software delivery through structured testing processes and strong collaboration with technical and business teams.

  • Develop detailed functional test scenarios, test cases, and test data aligned with system requirements
  • Design, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks using Selenium, including strategy definition and optimization
  • Execute automated and manual test cases, identify defects, and document results with precision and clarity
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and DevOps workflows to ensure continuous testing and delivery alignment
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and federal stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate system behavior
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and provide feedback to improve system quality
  • Review and improve test plans, procedures, and automation approaches to increase efficiency and coverage

Requirements

This position requires strong experience in software testing, automation engineering, and working in complex, regulated environments such as healthcare or federal systems. You should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across technical and functional domains.

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience, including strong exposure to QA and testing functions
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium, including framework development and optimization
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience testing Java, .NET, web, SOA, and ETL-based applications
  • Solid understanding of test planning, automation feasibility analysis, and SDLC models (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative)
  • Proficiency in SQL and databases such as Oracle or MS Access
  • Familiarity with Unix and Windows environments
  • Ability to read technical documentation and translate requirements into effective test strategies
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent additional experience)
