This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Amivero. We are currently looking for an Automated Tester in the United States.
We are seeking an experienced Automated Tester to join a dynamic enterprise-level team responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining critical software applications. In this role, you will work in an Agile environment, contributing to the design and execution of automated and manual testing strategies across web, backend, and API systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Java-based frameworks, test automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines, with the ability to ensure software quality while collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product architects. You will help deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable solutions that support high-impact government IT systems.
· Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, task estimation, testing, and retrospectives.
· Develop, maintain, and execute both manual and automated test scripts, mapping user story acceptance criteria to verification points.
· Build automated scripts for UI and backend testing using frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity BDD, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
· Validate web service APIs using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, Fiddler, and SoapUI.
· Conduct static and dynamic functional and non-functional testing, including unit, integration, regression, smoke, usability, and accessibility testing.
· Perform peer reviews of test scripts and code to ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
· Document and track testing progress, capturing execution artifacts to verify that all backlog acceptance criteria are met.
· Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Technical Writers to assess impact and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
· US Citizenship is required to obtain Public Trust clearance.
· Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
· 2–3+ years of experience analyzing, designing, and implementing automated testing solutions.
· Strong experience testing applications developed in Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
· Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Selenium, Cucumber BDD, Serenity BDD, and Maven.
· Solid knowledge of manual functional testing, automated testing, and continuous integration principles.
· Programming experience in Java (3–5 years) and familiarity with additional technologies (JavaScript, Web Services, SOAP, XML).
· SQL CRUD scripting experience against Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
· Ability to estimate effort for manual and automated testing and maintain scripts efficiently.
· Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on testing methods and tools.
