The Loan Administration team at Valon powers our operations and ensures we continue to run smoothly. We onboard loans, handle all escrow-related processes, payment applications, and offer a first-class experience to Valon's homeowners from behind the scenes.
The Loan Administration Audit Analyst plays a key role in ensuring Valon’s servicing operations remain compliant, efficient, and audit-ready. This person will coordinate across Loan Administration, Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to manage all internal and external audits and examinations. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organization, and the ability to translate operational processes into clear, defensible documentation.
Serve as the primary liaison between the QC/LRC (legal, risk, compliance) Departments and Loan Administration stakeholders for all audits/exams.
Partner with the Compliance to ensure proper understanding and submission for audit documentation requirements.
Engage with the Loan Administration management for the collection of data and fulfillment of external audit requests. Review and follow up to obtain documents and information in a timely manner.
Project managed assigned audits from start to finish, maintaining visibility on due dates, dependencies, and deliverables
Assist in providing material and documentation for agency, investor and state exams, and internal servicing QC reviews.
Conduct an SME review to ensure information provided meets the standards of the audit request, such as document and policy reviews.
Assist in drafting responses to rebut findings or remediation plans.
Track complaints, audit/exam findings, and business area remediation plans.
Monitor and report on project progress to appropriate stakeholders.
Write and update servicing SOPs—with general supervision.
Prioritize tasks across multiple audits and projects with help from the Senior Manager of Loan Administration.
Other duties as assigned by management
Must have 2+ years of experience as a Compliance Analyst or Audit Liaison in the mortgage servicing industry.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex loan data and audit findings. Ability to derive actionable insights from data analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
Prefer project management skills.
Time management skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, process-centric environment.
Organizational skills with ability to meet or exceed essential deadlines.
Working knowledge of mortgage servicing documentation and terminology.
Proficiency in using and learning Google-based software and third-party platforms.
Basic knowledge of standard office equipment.
Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent required
