<p>We’re seeking an enthusiastic, results-oriented temporary<strong> </strong>marketing manager to support Eater’s mobile app. As a member of the Eater team, you’ll play a key role in overseeing the marketing efforts for the Eater app, both paid and organic, to drive Eater app downloads and engagement. That includes executing and optimizing paid media campaigns across channels like social, search, Apple app store, and display — with a focus on driving downloads. This applies to our candidates, our teams, our storytelling, our creative work, and our platforms, products, and partnerships.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;</span></p><h2><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></h2><ul><li>Manage end-to-end paid media execution, including budget pacing, bid optimization, ad trafficking, creative iteration, audience segmentation, and adherence to platform best practices.</li><li>Use reporting and analytics tools daily to assess campaign performance, uncover insights, and make data-driven optimizations that scale and improve results.</li><li>Support the development of channel expansion strategies by leveraging internal analytics, external research, and market intelligence to identify new growth opportunities.</li><li>Track, analyze, and report on paid and organic campaign outcomes, distilling insights and recommendations that fuel continuous improvement across both current and future channels.</li><li>Develop and own a routine cadence of sharing learnings and actionable insights regularly with Eater leadership.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Stay ahead of industry and digital media trends, proactively bringing forward new ideas, innovation opportunities, and key shifts in the media landscape.</li><li>Monitor competitive activity, including onsite and offsite messaging, paid and earned media initiatives, partnerships, and broader marketing efforts.</li><li>Keep informed on editorial trends and performance, in order to come up with ways to integrate Eater content and voices into marketing campaigns.</li></ul><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;</span></p><h2><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></h2><ul><li>3+ years of experience in performance or growth marketing, including campaign management, creative strategy, and data analysis</li><li>2+ years of hands-on experience managing paid Google and Meta campaigns (additional platforms a plus)</li><li>Experience trafficking and managing ad campaigns in Apple App store&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated success in developing performance marketing strategies that deliver strong business outcomes</li><li>Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills—both written and verbal</li><li>Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads Manager, and Apple App store&nbsp;</li><li>Strong visual creative sense for image and video content</li><li>Experience with crafting performance-oriented copywriting</li><li>Someone with a natural “can-do” attitude who thrives in fast-paced environments — hands-on, proactive, and growth-focused</li><li>Eager to learn and support team growth, bringing a collaborative spirit to work</li><li>A fan of Eater and the restaurant coverage we do!</li></ul><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you think you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job posting, please apply with a cover letter to let us know how you believe you can bring your unique skills to the Vox Media team or get in touch!
